The 12th Man - Arado AR 196

VFX work for "The 12th Man" (2017), an epic WWII action-drama movie, directed by Harald Zwart.

Here is another model I made and textured for the movie 'The 12th Man'. This aircraft is a reconnaissance seaplane, and was initially intended for a series of action sequences in the film but was replaced by a larger and more threatening looking aircraft. So it goes sometimes :). The work was supervised by Arne Kaupang and Rune Spaans in collaboration with the great people at VFX-house Storm Studios.

"The 12th Man" is the true story about the Norwegian resistance fighter Jan Baalsrud who was on the run from the Gestapo during WWII in the freezing wilderness for several months. The movie received an Amanda Award (Norwegian Academy Awards) in 2018 for Best Visual Effects.
